Connect your Instagram account
Link an Instagram Business or Creator account over the official Meta API in a few clicks.
LoopFuel connects to Instagram through the official Meta API using Instagram Business Login. To automate DMs and comments, you need an Instagram Business or Creator account. This guide walks through connecting it.
Before you start
- Switch your Instagram account to a Business or Creator account (in the Instagram app: Settings, then Account type and tools).
Connect your account
- Sign in to LoopFuel and open the Accounts page.
- Click Connect Instagram. You are taken to Meta's secure login.
- Log in to Instagram and approve access to the account you want to connect.
- Approve the messaging and comment permissions LoopFuel requests. These let LoopFuel read and send DMs on your behalf.
- You are returned to LoopFuel with the account connected and ready to automate.
LoopFuel only uses permissions you grant during this consent step, and only through Meta's official API. We never ask for your Instagram password and never scrape data.
If the connection fails
- Confirm the account is a Business or Creator account, not a personal one.
- Confirm you are logging in as the owner of that Instagram account.
- Try again, making sure every requested permission is left enabled on the Meta screen.
